Our Story
Founded in 2024 by dedicated sustainability advocates, Makaa Mpya was born from a simple realization: Kenya's industries were consuming forests at an alarming rate. We set out to provide a better way — turning sawdust, bagasse, and agricultural waste into high-performance renewable fuel.
Today, with a monthly capacity of 1,000 tonnes and expanding to 1,800 tonnes, we serve industries, institutions, and households with clean, efficient energy that protects our forests and fights climate change.
Every decision we make considers its impact on Kenya's forests, air quality, and long-term ecological health.
We test every batch for moisture, calorific value, and ash — because our customers deserve fuel they can count on.
